Silvertongue Studios is the hearth and home of multidisciplinary artist Rose dé Danann

Rose’s art is inspired by the living colors, feelings and textures of the earth, the surreal space of dreams + visions, and the symbolism of myth, tarot, and eros.

The Tannery is an altar to the Old Ways and a craft forgotten in a world of hyper-consumption. Raw hides are alchemized into leather heirlooms through the use of bark tannins, fat, and smoke. Crafted to last for generations,

earth + mineral pigment

Found and foraged pigment from across the West is ground into paint to adorn tapestries and leather, continuing the practice since time immemorial of creating art from the Earth.

Sheepskins and other hides are traditionally hand tanned using natural bark tannins and fats. All hides are salvaged from waste streams where they would otherwise end up in landfills or discarded. Sustainable, chemical free comfort crafted with reverence for the animals, earth, and lifeways that sustain them.
